So I tried jazzying up my blog but this domain mapping business got me all messed up. Stand by for technical assistance.

Olympic Torch Security

Despite the best efforts to keep the Olympic torch bearers safe, once again we see security officals underestimating the dedication of protestors to undermine the integrity of the Olympic games. Yes, the Chinese Government are not supporters of democracy, yes they have underwritten much of the US Treasury bills which they hold over the heads of the US government and, and yes they steal US technology like candy from a baby, but the Spirit of the Olympics should take precedence over the politics of the host country.

How could security have been improved? Well for starters by establishing a secure zone by using effective physical barriers on either side of the street, better surveillance detetction by security forces, and extending the immediate protective barrier around the torch bearers by at least 30 feet in each direction.
